What do you learn in a voice lesson?
Breath support, vocal technique, intonation and performance, applied to repertoire that suits your voice and taste.
A good voice lesson starts with how your instrument works: breath, posture, resonance. Then comes the music itself: phrasing, handling text, and daring to sing in front of people. Craig Ralston accompanies you at the grand piano, so from the first lesson you sing with live accompaniment instead of a backing track.

What is singing for the actor?
Focused training for actors who need to sing in a role, an audition or a musical. Almost no one else in Utrecht offers it.
Actors sing differently from concert singers: text and character come first, and the voice has to survive eight shows a week. Craig trains exactly that: song interpretation, audition cuts, vocal health, and connecting acting to singing. Useful for musical theatre students preparing auditions, and for actors who finally want to back up the 'can sing a bit' line on their CV.
How much do voice lessons cost in Utrecht?
A 45-minute lesson costs €40 and a 60-minute lesson €50. The first lesson is free.
