Privacy

This page describes what actually happens on this site, in plain language, rather than a generic policy. If something here doesn't answer your question, contact Craig directly.
The short version
Nothing is set or shared until you say yes on the banner at the bottom of the page. Declining costs you nothing: the site works exactly the same either way.
What's on by default, with no choice needed
Basic, anonymous visit analytics (PostHog), which store nothing in a cookie and cannot identify you individually. This exists so Craig can see which pages get read, not who reads them.
Vercel's performance monitoring, which measures how fast pages load and again cannot identify you.
What only turns on if you accept
A Google Ads measurement cookie, used only to tell whether someone who clicked an ad for Ralston Music went on to send a message or book a lesson. It exists so advertising spend can be judged against actual enquiries rather than guesswork.
What loads only when you click something
The map on the contact page is blank until you click to load it; only then does anything get requested from Google.
The booking calendar (Cal.com) and the WhatsApp button take you to those services directly. Their own privacy terms apply once you're there, the same as clicking any external link.
Your choice, and changing it
Clearing your browser's local storage for this site resets the banner, so it will ask again next visit.
